At a romantic 1,640 m above sea level, you can start your cross-country skiing directly from your accommodation and enjoy wonderful nature. In Schönachtal, a side valley to Gerlos, you can even experience the winter landscape in the evening.

On the 6 toboggan runs (some of which are floodlit) in the various holiday resorts in the Zillertal Arena (Zell, Gerlos, Wald-Königsleiten, Krimml-Hochkrimml), you can hardly resist stopping for refreshments at one of the cosy, rustic inns. Night owls will also get there money's worth tobogganing in the Zillertal Arena because some of our toboggan runs are open in the evening.
Snow tubing on Gerlosstein
In the largest skiing area in the Zillertal, there other ways than gliding down the slopes on skis or a snowboard: the new fun activity in the snow in the Gerlosstein skiing area is called "snow tubing". All winter fans can now try out this fun activity on specially prepared tracks (approx. 200m)!
And the best part: the tubing tracks are free and can be used as often as you like. This makes your winter holiday in the Zillertal even more exciting!
